LATEST NEWS updated 9 December 2018

Radio Nottingham broadcast our  feature today which interviewed volunteers at the first day of collection. We're working on getting this available for you to listen to because it was excellent and incorporated everything about what we were doing very well.Copies can also be made available from the appeal co-ordinator so just mail in via the contact page

After three days of collecting at our collection point in Bilborough we can declare 2018 the biggest success in thrity years.
We do actually have people who have done all the previous ones and they all agreed they had never seen anything quite like it. All our donators seemed to rise to the occasion and a special thanks must go to Rolls Royce who weighed in with 600 toys!

We have a mascot! Theodore will be making his
appearance at the collection courtesy of
creator Rita who made the parcel along with David,
              her husband.

At last ! The flyers and posters are HERE. These are for people who want to explain what the appeal does (the flyer gives a brief history) and who want to launch the appeal in their own community; whether that be a social group, church or business. There is a space on each one for you to write your own name as contact and I will be mailing these out to everyone for you to use in your own campaigns.
You can also get them on the website here by going to the 'Resources' page (link at the bottom of this page) and downloading them. If you have any problems  don't hesistate to mail Nick the Co-Ordinator.

The coffee morning was a success and it was great to see so many representatives from different places there. Thanks everyone for coming.Just to say that we will be writing to you again in the middle of November to ask who wants to come as a volunteer on the three days.

30th September 2018

To cap off an amazing week for us this week, we have brought in four new collecing points as well as Rolls Royce. Cossall and Awsworth Churches will be joining us for the first time as will United Reform Church in Sherwood and Morrisons in Carlton are taking a collection box. Great work from our volunteers who are out and about!

28th September 2018

Some great news ! We are pleased to announce that the staff of Rolls Royce Hucknall are to join us this year as collectors for the appeal. They will hold their own collections amongst the staff at Hucknall and deliver to us during the collection week. The site has 880 employees so this is a major success for the appeal and we are happy to welcome them and look forward to working with them.

FAMILY CARE

It was very sad to visit the offices of Family Care and see everything preparing to close. We have to pay tribute to all the tremendous work they've done over the years with the appeal and all their other duties. By pressing ahead with this year's campaign we are seeking to ensure that all the efforts they have put in hitherto will not be lost and we can keep going forward.
